The 2025 Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) will take place from March 10 to March 21, 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This session marks the thirtieth anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action adopted in 1995, focusing on the review and appraisal of progress made in women's rights and gender equality.
At the same time as government representatives meet, there is also a meeting in New York of all the NGOs with consultative status with the United Nations. For those who are unable to attend, and post the pandemic, digital meetings by zoom etc are organised. These are called Parallel Events. The European Union of Women will be organising three such parallel events and they are available to all members of EUW and their friends.
