Commissions
Commissions enable members to participate and contribute towards the decision-making of the European Union, the Council of Europe and the United Nations.
There are six Commissions. Each has a leader and two full members who are invited to serve by their National Sections. Associate members are also invited to join, At International level, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of each Commission are appointed by the International Council.

The SIX Commissions are:
- Education and Employment
- Europe Alive
- Health and Social Affairs
- Human Rights
- International Policy
- Sustainable Development
At International level, EUW British section members hold the Presidencies of two Commissions and Vice-Presidencies of three Commissions.
Commissions work covers a wide variety of issues which are decided at the EUW International Executive meeting. Papers are prepared and put together by International Commission Presidents. The resolutions from the Commissions are then taken to the International Council meeting for agreement. The results of the studies are sent to MPs, MEPs, and all other relevant European and international organisations.

Before 2014, there were more Commissions, some of which amalgamated in 2013 to form the new Commissions above.
